Indo French Café – Serving Crêpes and Rumali Rōti
d^licious crêpes and rōti began in 2010 in a shop on the University of Illinois campus and we opened our Bartlett, IL location in October 2014. We specialize in French and Indian street foods and we are best known throughout the Chicago area for our sweet and savory crêpes. We are a top restaurant on Yelp and have even received a Yelp award for our 5-star rating. Our menu consists of popular street foods of India and France including tandoori burritos and kathi rolls as well as breakfast, sweet, and savory crêpes. Anything on our menu can be made into a vegetarian dish to accommodate customers with specific dietary needs.
It all began when our owner, Rakesh, started selling crêpes out of his shop on the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana campus. His crêpes quickly became popular among the students and many Indian students inquired about the possibility of making Indian food. Having only a crepe machine, Rakesh created a batter recipe for rōti, an Indian flatbread, that he can make in the same machine. In March 2014, Rakesh closed his shop at the University of Illinois which made the local news and he opened our location in Bartlett in October 2014. Since our opening in Bartlett, we have become a local favorite.
